Tuesday morning, eight-o-clock, and I'm up! Things are totally settling into real life routines now. Its nice. My friends and I were planning a weekend trip to Copenhagen this weekend, but were strongly advised to stay put. Apparently Denmark's Muslim population is burning down structures like mad because of some Muhammad cartoons that were published in the press in 2005, and then published again recently in Denmark's effort to say, "We have free speech and you can post what you want in the papers." Last I heard they were burning down elementary schools and homes. Psycho. Everyone around here is pretty fired up about it....the fact that these people would emigrate to Denmark and then burn down their buildings because of a cartoon. In any case, I've been informed that Islamics and people in general in Northern Jutland (eg: where I am) are too assimilated and laid back to go burning things down.
Perhaps this weekend will be good for going further north to check out the Viking ruins. :-)
