Its a nice Sunday morning here, and I've got a plan. I'm going to sloooow down, chill out, and start taking time and life a little less seriously. Everything here is so laid back, I hope I'm finally catching on. I'm going to go to store today and buy real food. Like vegetables. I found out yesterday why I haven't seen any appealing fresh vegetables here, and it is because unlike the states, Denmark only receives produce in season. Its good. My neighbor informed me that because of laws concerning pesticides and genetic engineering Danish produce may not always be available, but its always good when it is. So I'm going to look for some frozen spinach, some ingredients for alfredo sauce (they seriously do not just have jars of it here), some ingredients for little home-made pizzas, and probably some "all purpose" frozen chicken.
I did my laundry last night and put it in the common drying room to dry. :-) I'm sure its still there, and there's something about that that thrills me. Its really a testament to the mentality here. On the shopping streets, nearly every store has an outside display. Just random merchandise displayed out on the sidewalk, and there aren't any security cameras or anything. People are trusting, and thats refreshing.
Also today, on top of finishing up some reading and coding, I'm going to make a touring plan for my free time. There are several museums around here, an old windmill, and a few cathedrals that seem worth checking into. I don't have any class tomorrow, so I may spend it searching these places out.
I posted some pictures from the Pub Crawl the other night. What great fun! We had good beers and good company and good drinking games. :-)
Happy Sunday!
