Today it is cold and wet, and I'm thoroughly sick of riding my bike. And as much as I enjoy cultural diversity, I'm also terribly sick of deciphering foreign English. My mental English is getting worse from it. I'm losing words, forming sentences that are slightly less than grammatical, and its extremely evident in my typing. Its starting to take me longer to get the words from my head to the keyboard in the right order and structure.
*sighs*
Its just the weather.
On the brighter side, all of my laundry was there when I went to fold it. And tonight I'm going to a "pancake making workshop." After last night's dinner party, the people I met there thought it would be good for me to learn to make European pancakes, which are very much like crepes. They fill them with all sorts of lovely things like ice-cream, jam, and this chocolate nutty spread called Nuttella. So that should be fun. Pictures definitely to follow. A VERY funny thing happened last night at the dinner party! When asked where I was from, I responded West Virginia, to which was promptly followed up by two foreigners...one from France and one from Austria breaking out into a chorus of Country Roads!! :-) I teared up a bit.
Last thought for my Monday post, while I was folding laundry, reflecting on my trip here and my life back home in comparison.....it occurred to me because of the similarities from place to place it really is not Where you are but Who you are with that defines your life. I honestly and very strongly believed that Where was more important. This week....it isn't. So everyone back home...Parents, Sister, Hallmark Girls, WVDP and Friends,
You are Missed.

Nutella is the shiznit! I eat that stuff by the spoonful lol!
and about Country Roads - apparently Jess Anderson said everyone in England and Ireland would break out in tune at the bars when they said they were from WV! guess we're bigger on the map than we thought!

But yeah... lovin the posts and the pictures!! Andddd I hope that you have a wonderful time! :)
Do you have the band version of Country Roads? LoL! You should let them listen to it! And yeah, if I were you, I know I would start crying my eyes out if I heard someone in another country singing Country Roads... if they only knew how much it really meant to us lol.
Anyways, yay, I love and miss you!
I miss you!!!
KYLIE!
Glad you've finally tried some nutella, very European of you. And speaking of the international phenomenon “COUNTRY ROADS,” my friend who spent a year in Thailand said they even sang it to him over there! Hope all is well, and your sentence structure seems fine to me!
